LaShawn Thurman is a Board Member for Priceless Dreams as well as a Business Analyst/IT Project Coordinator for the State of Michigan, Department of Technology, Management and Budget. 

LaShawn brings a passion for people and communication as she demonstrates by working on cross-functional teams all while building strategic working relationships.

Throughout her career, she has worked in both non-profit, private, and government sectors. LaShawn earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, and Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. As well, LaShawn has certifications in ITIL – Foundations IT Service Management and Lean Process Improvement.

 

LaShawn has also volunteered and supported the local domestic violence shelter for women and children in her hometown of Lansing, Michigan, which is near and dear to her heart.

 

Through both LaShawn’s personal and professional experiences, she has a heart for people and feels a greater responsibility to help improve underserved communities.
